02/06/2017 (10:00PM – 11:00PM) (Monday) : A NEW SOLIDER JOINS LUCY AND RUFUS TO CHASE FLYNN THROUGH ROARING TWENTIES’ PARIS.

Now, Rufus (Malcolm Barrett), Lucy and their new soldier scramble through the City of Lights and team with young reporter, Ernest Hemingway (guest star Brandon Barash), to keep history intact. Meanwhile, locked in an undisclosed location, a despondent Wyatt (Matt Lanter) gets a visit from Agent Christopher (Sakina Jaffrey), and the pair is left wondering if their enemies are closer than they realize. Also starring Paterson Joseph and Claudia Doumit. Guest starring Susanna Thompson, John Getz, Jim Beaver and Annie Wersching.
The second season of WGN America’s “Underground” will introduce Harriet Tubman, and Variety has learned that the pioneer will be played by Aisha Hinds of “All The Way” and “Under the Dome.” The Underground Railroad’s most famous conductor revered for her grit, perseverance and unrelenting will to help scores of enslaved people reach their freedom, Tubman was born a slave. After escaping, Tubman risked her life again and again in order to free her family members and lead anyone willing to journey north across hostile territory, to freedom — a task she believed is her God-given mission.
The new season of “Underground,” which will span 10 episodes, will follow an unremitting struggle for freedom within a divided America on the brink of civil war, each side vying to enact their own justice. Aside from Hinds, new additions to the cast for the upcoming season are Jasika Nicole (“Fringe,” “Scandal”) who will play Georgia, an abolitionist with a covert station along the Underground whose quiet confidence hides secrets of her own; Michael Trotter (“Rosewood”) who will play Biographer, an astute observer of people who lives through the lives of others often fearful of taking chances; and Jesse Luken (“Justified,” 42) who will play Smoke, the fearless second in command of Patty Cannon’s infamous gang of slave catchers. Returning stars are Jurnee Smollett-Bell, Aldis Hodge, Christopher Meloni, Alano Miller, Jessica de Gouw and Amirah Vann. Amirah Vann has been upped to a series regular in Season 2, following her reccuring role in the initial season, and Marc Blucas will return in a guest role, as John Hawkes.
Season 2 of “Underground” heads into production next week in Savannah, Georgia, and is slated to premiere in early 2017.
